EDTA Chelation Therapy
EDTA chelation can be used to treat heavy metal toxicity. EDTA chelation has also been shown to be effective in many cardiovascular and circulatory diseases. EDTA chelation therapy has documented positive effects in the treatment of atherosclerosis, carotid arterial disease, peripheral vascular disease, autoimmune disease, diabetes mellitus, thyroid conditions, multiple sclerosis, osteoporosis, peripheral neuropathy, coronary artery disease, cerebral vascular disease, certain cardiac arrhythmias, collagen vascular disease, heavy metal toxicity, hypercalcemic states, osteoarthritis, venous stasis disorders, and fibromyalgia. This therapy requires a 2-3 hour intravenous drip. Proper laboratory testing for kidney function (blood urea nitrogen), liver function (AST and ALT) and iron levels are required before proceeding with IV EDTA chelation therapy.
