Once again, Canada Day marks the end of another one of my experiments in diet! This 6 month push through ketosis has truly been life altering and an incredible experience on how to combat cancer using diet alone!
The more I read about the ketogenic diet and it’s effects on cancer the more I am convinced that this terrible condition is no more than another metabolic disease, like heart disease and diabetes. I believe that figuring out how to outsmart the disease has more to do with persistence and attitude than chemo and radiation. When most cancer survivors, past stage 1, are asked how they beat their cancer, they will often state that they changed everything. It makes sense!
Although constant ketosis tends to affect the speed of ones random access memory (RAM), following a diet strategy like this long term would not be difficult. In ending ketosis today with some fresh Okanagan cherries and a piece of toast with my eggs and mayo this morning, I realized that the benefit of consistent energy without any risks of hypoglycemia can far out way the negatives a little less whit!
Happy Canada Day for Roberts Creek, BC!
PS My blood work was done yesterday and will be in the next blog segment for those of you that where interested!
